Celebrating 50 Years of Success
N.B. West Contracting got its start in March 1956 when Norm West began his asphalt paving business in his basement. The company has come a long way since then, growing into a premier supplier of asphalt paving and general contracting services throughout eastern Missouri.
The company marked a milestone when it celebrated its first five decades in business. The Golden Anniversary celebration was held on June 3, 2006, at Robertsville State Park. Current employees and retirees were invited to the 50th birthday bash. More than 200 people attended the festivities, which included a hog roast, plenty of side dishes, refreshments and a commemorative cake.
As a memento, all current and past employees in attendance received a clock radio and Coolie can holders with West Contracting’s 50th Anniversary logo. West Contracting also honored past and current employees with 20 years or more of service. These long-time employees received a watch for their years of dedicated service to the company.
