MoDOT Recognizes West for Supporting Disadvantaged Businesses

MoDOT recently thanked West Contracting for utilizing Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) on a federally funded transportation project. MoDOT has a goal of 13.5 percent participation by DBEs on projects supported with federal funds. West Contracting exceeded that goal on the project by 3 percent.

"Your efforts are commendable and have shown us that you are truly interested in being a partner with the Federal Highway Administration and MoDOT in our joint efforts to ensure that minority and female-owned firms obtain participation" on projects in Missouri, wrote Lester Woods Jr., civil rights administrator for MoDOT.
